As far as fast-service burgers go, there are few places that can beat Harvey's; and with the exception of the Five Guys chain, Harvey's is the only fast-service burger chain in the Dartmouth/Halifax area that will customize your burger as it is made, awesome!!
So it is mid-2019, they have "most" of the wrinkles ironed out and their service has improved immensely. They seem to be chronically incapable of keeping their soda fountain stand operational.... otherwise the staff are always very attentive. The ordering counter is also a take-out order centre for the adjacent Swiss Chalet. Which is phenomenal on take-out night if you and your party want a mix of burgers and rotisserie chicken.
But seriously folks, Harvey's is a fast-service burger chain. If you are comparing Harvey's to some of the gourmet burger restaurants in Dartmouth or Halifax, you're just being silly. Compared to other fast-service burger chains however? Yeah, I'd love to go to Harvey's! -

Harvey's mystery burger. Nice clean Store ( better be it's brand new) but the food is as bad as it was back in the 80's

Just finished lunch at the new Harvey's and was decidedly unimpressed. The burger was fine and the young fellow who dressed it was polite and friendly so kudos to him. We got two sodas but found that the Diet Pepsi had run out midstream so notified personnel - we were both informed, at different times, that they were out of both DP and another flavour but no attempt was made to remedy this. My husband attempted to get our money back for my drink as I did not have a second drink choice but was told that they had replaced the syrup and would bring a drink to us. Did not happen so, when lunch was finished, we went back to the counter where they were holding the receipt, and asked again for a refund. We did get the money back but the person at the cash made a point of saying that they have Diet Pepsi. Really, when and where was mine?!?! I realize that they have recently opened but it is a fast food joint and they are formula driven so.... chickens with their heads cut off. I will strike this place from my list, there are many choices in Dartmouth and this does not have to be one of mine.
